Early teaching, easy learning !
At Petite Pousse, we believe that bilingualism is a gift that accompanies our children their whole life. The earlier it starts, the easiest that journey will be.
Young children don’t learn a language the way adults do. They need meaning, movement, games and relationships. That’s why our playgroups and tutoring sessions follow a play-based approach, where children explore, imagine, and learn French without even realising it.
" The sessions are full of lovely songs, stories, and games that make learning French feel so natural and fun."
Faustine M.
As a former early-years educator and an expatriate mum myself, I know how important it is for young children and their parents to feel supported. At Petite Pousse, families connect, children grow in confidence, and parents gain simple tools to bring more French into everyday life.
Because bilingualism is a wonderful gift to offer to your children and together we can transform it with ?

What we're offering
Introducing a second language at a young age has countless benefits, from boosting cognitive development to enhancing cultural awareness. Whether your child is just starting or already comfortable with French, they will find something of value to enjoy and bring home with them.

French Playgroups - 2-6 years old
Our playgroups in Bath are joyful, themed sessions (1–2 per month) where children hear, play, and interact in French with other little ones.
Through stories, songs, and our puppet Bingo with her suitcase of surprises, children explore new words naturally.
Sessions end with a calming craft or playdough activity, giving time to use new vocabulary and connect with other families.
Parents leave with simple ideas and words they can use at home to keep the learning going.
Perfect for bilingual families, francophone parents feeling isolated, and English-speaking families wanting a gentle intro to French.
Private Tutoring
Working as a team with parents, private tutoring allows children to deepen their French, practice new vocabulary, and build confidence in their french skills in a safe and fun environment.
Sessions are playful and child-led, focusing on your child’s interests and level. We will discuss what your child loves doing and how best to accompany him on a french journey.
Private tutoring is available 1-to-1 or in small groups (up to 4 children), in Bristol or Bath (location to be discussed).
Tutoring is great for children who want more exposure, personalized attention, or to continue learning French between playgroups.
